Reuben Olawale OLAOYE, is an Assistant Chief Technologist in the Department of Geology and Mineral Sciences, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over fourteen years’ experience in laboratory practical, research and administrative functions.

He has served in different capacities within the department, including member of Environmental Sanitation Committee, Faculty Library Committee, Departmental Welfare Committee, Faculty/Departmental Laboratory Committee. His area of research interest cut across mineral exploration, geochemistry and mineralogy such as: petrographic study of rocks and reconnaissance survey of heavy minerals, Geochemical study of glauconitic sediment.

Mr. Olaoye have been part of various training and development programs structured by the university to improve staff capabilities. These programs include: Equipment standard operating procedures, Safety and sound management of chemical laboratory technologist, Laboratory safety, risk assessment and quality engagement, Enterprise development.

He is a certified member of Science Laboratory Technologist of Nigeria and of Nigeria Mining and Geo Sciences Society.
