Biography

Olabisi Adeleye ADEKEYE, is a Professor in the Department of Geology and Mineral Sciences, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over 2 decades of university teaching, research and administrative experiences.

He has served as Head of Department with research interest covering the aspects of Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, Paleontology, Biostratigraphy and Petroleum Geology in sedimentary basin analysis. He has published several papers in both local and international reputable academic journals.

Prof. Adekeye is a regular field leader in many geological fields exercise. He is currently working on the biostratigraphic reconstruction of the Cretaceous to Tertiary sedimentary succession in the Dahomey basin, southwestern Nigeria and Paleo-sea inter-connectivity in the Nigeria inland sedimentary basins during the late Cretaceous to Tertiary interval: Evidences from foraminifera and palynomorphs species.

He holds a B. Sc., M. Sc., and Ph.D from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria and rose through the ranks to become a full professor.
