Olusegun Omoniyi IGE is a Professor in the Department of Geology and Mineral Sciences, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with about 20 years of pure academic research, teaching and administrative experience.
He has served in several capacities/committees/positions including Member of University Senate, Business Committee of Senate, Secretary to University Waste Management committee, Head of Department, Postgraduate Coordinator, Sport Director, Examination Officer.
He has made relevant contributions to the body of science in reputable journals and has initiated and successfully supervised several undergraduate projects, over 50 postgraduate research excluding Ph.Ds. Dr. Ige was the Vice Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), United Kingdom, Nigeria Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (FNAEGE); and Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists (FNAH).
